4x4" film mosaic constructed from 35mm and 120 color negatives
scanned with a digital camera

This 4x4" constructed negative film mosaic was assembled from two overlapping long exposures of star trails that were taken from 10pm May 31st to 4am June 1st, and from 10pm June 1st to 2am June 2nd, 2024 from the same vantage point with a Pentax 6x7 camera and 55mm lens on 120 Kodak Gold 200 speed color negative film, six exposures of driftwood grain taken in 2013 with a Nikon FM10 camera and 24mm lens on 35mm Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400 speed color negative film, and two frames of multiple exposures of the April 8th, 2024 solar eclipse from my vantage point in Connecticut (~92% magnitude) on expired 35mm Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 800 speed color negative film.

The film was cut up and reassembled over a light table to produce a 4x4" film mosaic, which was digitally scanned and color inverted.
