4x4" film mosaic constructed from 120 color and black and white negatives
scanned with a digital camera
This 4x4" constructed negative film mosaic was assembled from one exposure of beach sand taken on July 1st, 2024 in North Carolina with a Holga 120N camera on 120 Kodak T-MAX 100 speed black and white negative film, and two long exposures of star trails that were taken from 10pm June 10th to 2am June 11th and 10pm June 12th to 3am June 13th, 2024 with a Pentax 6x7 camera and 55mm lens on 120 Kodak Gold 200 speed color negative film.
The film was cut up and reassembled over a light table to produce a 4x4" film mosaic, which was digitally scanned and color inverted.
Published in F-Stop Magazine Issue 131, Gelatin Magazine Issue 10, and Laminator Volume 2.
Exhibited in Los Angeles Center of Photography "Staring at the Cloud: Collage Between Analog & Digital" (2025).
