4x4" film mosaic constructed from 120 color and black and white negatives and 35mm color negatives
scanned with a digital camera

This 4x4" constructed negative film mosaic was assembled from three photographs of star trails that were taken from the same vantage point in Paicines, California and 19 photographs of the full moon during a partial lunar eclipse. Two of the star trail negatives were exposed on November 4th, 2024 with 120 Kodak Portra 800 speed color negative film, and one was exposed on November 6th, 2024 with 120 Ilford Delta 3200 speed black and white negative film, using a Pentax 6x7 camera and 55mm lens. The moon negatives were exposed on September 17th, 2024 with a Barska 60800 refractor telescope attached to a Konica Autorex 35mm camera in half-frame format on Fujifilm 400 speed color negative film.

The film was cut up and reassembled over a light table to produce a 4x4" film mosaic, which was digitally scanned and color inverted.
